Veterans Program
Our agency has available for eligible Veterans programs and services through the Veterans Administration Per Diem Program. This program allows eligible veterans to stay at our facility for up tp 24 months. During their stay they receive a multitude of services including: Substance Abuse Treatment, Mental Health Medication Management, Daily Life Skills, Vocational Training, Employment Readiness and Counseling, Recreation Therapy, Chiropractic Services, 12 Step Recovery Support Groups. All veterans are housed in 4 man rooms complete with their own lockers for storage. This is an intensive Residential Treatment Program.
Women Veterans with Dependent Children
Eligible Women Veterans with dependent Children attend this program. The participants are housed along with their children in two bedroom townhomes that are located near public schools, public healthcare services, day care and public transportation. While in this program the female veterans and their dependents are eligible for Veterans Per Diem program benefits that allow them to stay for up to 24 months. They are transported daily to our Veterans Program in St Cloud were they receive the same services as our male veterans in our Veterans Program.
Transition/Work Release Program
The Kissimmee location is devoted entirely to this program for eligible inmates who are Florida Department of Corrections inmates. They attend the Transition Program from 9-18 months were they receive Intensive Residential Substance Abuse Treatment. After completion of this phase they are eligible for Department of Corrections Work Release.
Other Programs:
In addition to these publically funded programs The Transition House, Inc. accepts most major insurance for those who require substance abuse treatment. In addition we accept Florida Medicaid for those who are eligible.
Our agency offers at our St Cloud Location Outpatient, Intensive Outpatient, Day/Night and Aftercare Services. These are available through our licenses with the Florida Department of Children and Families.
